Despite the rumors, Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby did not make its debut on New Year's Eve. But when the little bundle of joy does arrive, don't expect to catch a glimpse of Babyonce on the cover of a celebrity weekly. "They are one of the most private couples," one magazine editor told me. "We have made several offers to their people about running exclusive images of mother and baby and no one has responded." Today, some celebrity babies are splashed across the covers of weekly magazines before they've even opened their eyes. Often when such a deal is made, the contract stipulates that the baby cannot be seen in public for a few weeks before and/or after the magazine hits the newsstands. "If Beyonce and Jay-Z do decide to share their child with the world, they will probably go the same route as Tom Cruise and Katie ," the editor explains. "Instead of selling the images to a weekly publication, they would give them away for nothing to lock in a cover of a monthly like Vanity Fair. But knowing this couple, it is unlikely we will ever see a staged picture of the child." A spokesperson for Vanity Fair declined to comment. Brad and Angelina broke the record when they sold images of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, for upwards of $12 million, with the understanding that the proceeds would be donated to charity. Other celebrities who have sold baby pictures include Jennifer Lopez, Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Alba, Jamie Lynn Spears and Tori Spelling. But Beyonce and Jay-Z are so private that, after their 2008 wedding, they refused to even confirm they had tied the knot. "Everyone reached out to the couple to buy wedding pictures and they refused," an industry insider revealed. "They have an estimated net worth of over $700 million. It's not like they need the money."

Beyonce may be ready to pop any minute and celebrities are now starting to share their predictions for the superstar's new role as a mother. And one of those celebrities is Lady Gaga. In a recent interview with The Insider, Gaga explains that she knows the singer will be a great mother because of the impressions Gaga got of her when she met her for the first time. "She's the nicest female I've met in the industry. She's wonderful!" Gaga gushes of the superstar. And she has no worries about Bey's role as a mother. "Of course she is," Gaga explained when asked if she thought the star would make a good mother. "That's a tremendous understatement."

The rumors of Beyoncé having her baby have been greatly exaggerated, it seems. The very pregnant star, and her husband Jay-Z, spent New Year's Eve in Brooklyn, dining at Buttermilk Channel. Food Republic and the restaurant Tweeted last night just before 11:30 p.m., "Well, if you must know... Jay-Z and Beyonce celebrating NYE at Buttermilk Channel right now." According to Matt Rodbard, the two revisited the restaurant last night. He writes, "on our way out the door from celebrating New Year’s at one of our favorite Brooklyn restaurants, Buttermilk Channel, we heard whispers that the couple was on their way. And sure enough, we soon could confirm that Jay, B and unborn child were seated in a cozy table in the back." On the menu last night? Chef Ryan Angulo offered a 3-course tasting menu that included "a rich foie gras terrine with pickled grapes, butter-poached lobster from the Red Hook Lobster Pound," and duck meatloaf with "seared foie gras and a bittersweet chocolate and duck jus." To our knowledge, none of those induce labor.

"American Idol" host and New Year's Eve ambassador Ryan Seacrest dished with "Extra's" AJ Calloway about what to expect on this year's 40th "New Year's Rockin' Eve" show - including a surprise appearance by Beyoncé! "I can't tell you too much because they don't tell me too much, but if you're a Beyoncé fan -- and man, is she looking good these days -- you'll want to see Beyoncé." Seacrest is excited about this year's 40th anniversary lineup, which includes Justin Bieber and Pitbull. The TV host said, "We try and celebrate some of the biggest artists of the year and then we've got the biggest artists of the year to celebrate with us. We'll look back at the 40 biggest performances," which will include Dick Clark, who is set to make an appearance. "Yes, Dick Clark will be back," said Seacrest, laughing, "Some of those moments are him freezing outside and he still kind of wishes that I'd be very, very cold outside. Lady Gaga is also set to perform AND to help drop the ball. Seacrest explained, "It's tricky. She'll finish her performance and then she'll have a team of NYPD rushing her. She'll physically have to get from one place to the next to get to where the ball's dropped, and I think that will be tight on time, but quite an honor!" Mom-to-be Beyoncé held court with husband Jay-Z at New York club Greenhouse. The rapper was sipping on Voli vodka drinks – but Beyoncé kept busy on the dance floor. Even though she wasn't drinking, the pop star was still having a ball, a source says. She and Jay-Z danced together to tunes spun by Q-Tip, who was deejaying for the night. Says the source: "Everyone seemed to be having a blast."

Stocking up on all of her gifting needs, Beyonce Knowles joined the many holiday shoppers making purchases ahead of the Christmas weekend in New York City on Wednesday (December 21). The expecting "Love On Top" singer showed off her growing baby bump while clad in a black jacket, black top and animal print tights while browsing the offerings at Curye.

While hubby Jay-Z is busy working on his Watch the Throne show with Kanye West, Beyoncé spent her time shopping in Vancouver. The pregnant pop star and her entourage arrived at upscale department store Holt Renfrew where they were met with more security, who ensured fellow shoppers didn't snap photos or harass Beyoncé. Although she has yet to officially announce plans for her fifth album, the 30-year-old songstress is re-teaming with The-Dream, the man responsible for penning hits like her anthemic track 'Single Ladies' and co-writing a handful of songs on her '4' LP. While the effort may not have performed as well as she would have liked -- nearing platinum status with 956,000 copies sold as of this month -- the multi-Grammy winner is already looking towards the future, and having a baby has done little to slow her down. "She's ready to work," Dream tells The BoomBox. "She's crazy! She never stops doing anything. I don't know if is going to slow her down. She's just incredible with doing things, I don't know how she's going to do it, she's just a maniac... in a good way."

I reached out to Jill and sent her the record. She said it was cool. Then I kinda told her where I wanted to go and she said, "You know what, Jeezy? Give me a week or two and I'ma send you something back." She sent me 'Trap Back,' and I listened to it. I loved it. I hit her back and said, "This is it." But we had some problems with the dude who did the track so I went and took the vocals to J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and had them re-do the tracks and revamp the whole song. I put my verses on it, and sent it back to her. She loved it. I haven't let my mother hear the song yet, but I'm quite sure when she hears it, she'll come to tears because a lot of that s--- she remembers but she probably don't think I remember 'cause I was so young. But my mother is my strength at times, 'cause things were so hard on her and it made me go harder. I felt like I was trapped and had no way out and I just had to find my way through the maze and I felt like, I did it for us. I couldn't see my mother struggle anymore so I had to do everything in my power to take it there. That record means a lot to me. I told Jill I was a big fan. I knew about Jill Scott, but... one day I was chilling in Vegas with Beyonce and all them, and we were just chilling by the pool. She was playing all these songs and I was like, "Who the fuck is that?" and she was like, "You don't know 'bout Jill Scott?" I'm like, "Yeah..." But was playing all these records I'd never heard. I just became a bigger fan and I felt I just had to do something with her.

Beyonce has trumped Rihanna for a higher position on Forbes' 2011 list of top earning women in music. The 'Countdown' singer is the fourth top earning female musician of the year, pocketing $35million in the last year alone. Bey was quiet for the first half of the year, but embarked on a worldwide promotional tour for latest album 4 which included a performance at the Glastonbury festival in June. RiRi trails just behind Bey to come in fifth place with an earning of $29million. The 30-year-old singer was spotted on a shopping trip at Agent Provocateur in West Hollywood yesterday and it can only be assumed that she was stocking up on some sexy underwear. The mother-to-be was seen browsing the store's items wearing a large pair of dark sunglasses meaning perhaps she didn't want to be seen on this particular shopping trip. She teamed the accessory with a black and blue striped jumper that showed off her growing bump.
