Beyoncé Surpasses 100 Career Hot 100 Hits, Thanks to 'Cowboy Carter'

Klaudia//April 9, 2024
Beyoncé has a massive week on Billboard’s charts, thanks to her latest LP, Cowboy Carter. Along with charting 23 songs from the album on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated April 13), she ups her career total from 85 entries to 106. As such, she becomes the 17th artist, and only the third woman, to have logged 100 or more titles since the chart began in 1958.

Cowboy Carter debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (and the Top Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts) with 407,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the March 29-April 4 tracking week, according to Luminate – the biggest one-week total of 2024. She also becomes the first Black woman to lead Top Country Albums.

Here’s a look at all 23 of Beyoncé’s entries on the latest Hot 100, all of which are debuts except where noted. (The 27-track Cowboy Carter also includes four mostly spoken-word interludes.)

Beyonce guard probed over paparazzi clash

Klaudia//August 21, 2009
A personal bodyguard of US R&B star Beyonce was held for questioning in Croatia after being caught on film clashing with a cameraman in the coastal resort of Dubrovnik, police said. The Croatian police action came after footage of the paparazzi battle in the narrow streets of Dubrovnik was broadcast on television. Police said they seized the passport of the bodyguard, a 31-year-old Dutch national, as a precaution before ordering him to attend a magistrates' court for a "breach of public order". The guard was reportedly detained on the luxurious 47-metre yacht on which Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z were cruising the Adriatic coast during their holiday since the start of this week. The boat was intercepted off the southern island of Korcula, said the website of the newspaper Jutarnji List. The cameraman, 57-year-old Dragan Banovic, had filed a complaint against the unnamed Dutchman, but was himself taken in for questioning over the incident, a police statement said. In the footage of the skirmish, Banovic was seen striking the guard on the back with a tripod after the bodyguard knocked down the journalist's camera and laid into him. The guard was later filmed hurling the tripod into the sea. Both were released after being quizzed before the magistrates court.
