Drake's Song "Girls Love Beyoncé" Covers Destiny's Child

Klaudia//April 16, 2013
Drake knows what's up.

Girls (and boys, dogs, unicorns—everyone!) love Beyoncé. Late Monday night, the 26-year-old rapper released a new, NSFW song, aptly titled "Girls Love Beyoncé." In the track, James Fauntleroy even covers a portion of Destiny's Child's 1999 hit "Say My Name."

"Look, I know girls love Beyoncé," Drake raps, then quickly turns to, "Girls love to f--k with your conscience / Girls hate when n---as go missing, and shawty you ain't no different."

"These days it's hard to meet women / Feel like my love life is finished / I've been avoiding commitment / That's why I'm in this position," he goes on. "I'm scared to let somebody in on this / No new friends, no, no, no, no / You know how this s--t goes."

Drake, with the help of Mr. Fauntleroy, rap-sings, "If you're alone, then say my name, say my name, say my name." (Y'all remember the chorus.)

The rest of the track continues with more from Drake on the woes of women, and of course, the vintage Destiny's Child track remains the hook.

Klaudia//March 9, 2012
Sleigh Bells have recorded an acoustic cover of Beyonce's single 'Irreplaceable' – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen. The US duo unveiled their own version of the track, which originally featured on Beyonce's second studio album 'B'Day' and was released as a single in 2006, on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show yesterday evening (March 6). Sleigh Bells teamed up with Beyonce for a collaboration last year after the pop megastar was impressed by their track 'Kids' but the project, which was put together by producer Diplo, has never been released. However, guitarist Derek Miller told NME that he hadn't given up hope of working with the singer in the future, stating: "Obviously we're massive fans of her and she's a living legend. I'd love to actually work with her someday when I actually get some creative input. I wouldn't say that it failed, it just feels like it never really happened."

Jay-Z reveals Beyonce suffered miscarriage that ended earlier pregnancy

Klaudia//January 10, 2012
Jay-Z is celebrating the birth of his baby girl with an emotional new song that reveals the secret sorrow of a prior miscarriage. The doting dad, 42, gushed over the arrival of Blue Ivy Carter in the song “Glory” posted Monday to his website, dubbing the child the answer to his prayers after the devastating loss of wife Beyoncé Knowles’ earlier pregnancy. “Last time the miscarriage was so tragic. We was afraid you’d disappear, but nah baby you magic,” he raps, speaking about their private pain for the first time. He says “God makes no mistakes” and “there you have it, s--- happens,” finally conceding that everyone goes through “stuff,” even superstars. “The most amazing feeling I feel. Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real,” he raps in the chorus. “Baby I paint the sky blue. My greatest creation was you.” Hours after the sentimental song’s release, the ultra-private power couple issued a joint statement offering details of their Saturday delivery. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, says in his song that Beyonce conceived in Paris. He also predicted the lucky tyke will be shopping on London’s famous Savile Row as a toddler. “Get ready for Part II, a younger smarter faster me,” he raps. “Hard not to spoil you rotten, looking like little me,” he says. The touching tribute ends with the cries of a newborn baby — likely the first sounds from the couple’s first child. The song says it features B. I. C., the baby’s initials. “You’re a child of destiny. You’re the child of my destiny,” he raps. “You’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child. That’s a hell of a recipe.”
