Renaissance World Tour in Amsterdam (June 18)

Klaudia//June 20, 2023
Beyonce performed at the Johan Cruyff Arena stadium in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 18, 2023. The singer debuted custom IVY PARK from the new collection which is coming soon. After the show, she wrote:

"I started designing this collection over a year ago. I was so engulfed in all things RENAISSANCE and was inspired by Studio 54, Bob Mackie and the disco era. I wanted to do a modern twist using the signature IVY PARK neon and bring disco to the beach in this swim collection. I’m so happy to share this with you and even more proud to launch it for the first time on the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR. I’m proud to be among the very talented Black designers featured in last night’s show to celebrate Juneteenth."

"In honor of Juneteenth, everything I wore for RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR tonight was created exclusively by Black designers."

Renaissance World Tour Wardrobe Is Fashion Diplomacy At Its Finest

Klaudia//June 17, 2023
At this point, Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour is part concert, part extended exercise in seeing just how many custom looks one pop star can commission and pack. Queen Bey has upended the typical stadium show model and turned it into an ever-changing format full of surprises and new looks.

Nearly every tour stop so far—there are 51 dates on the books in total, as of right now—has featured a new never-been-seen look designed by some of the biggest names in contemporary fashion. Off-White, Balmain, Brandon Blackwood, and on and on. What you may not have noticed, however, is that Bey often honors the country she’s in by wearing a designer who calls that nation home: Jacquemus for Marseille, France (the designer’s hometown); Alexander McQueen, David Koma, Robert Wun, and Stella McCartney for the singer’s five-night residency in London; custom Fendi in Barcelona that featured designs pulled from Spanish artist Antonio Lopez. It’s the pop star’s version of fashion diplomacy.

There are undoubtedly more custom looks to come from Beyoncé—she has not even made her way through the reported 41 custom pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes she bought along for the ride.

Tiffany & Co. Is the Official Jeweler for Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour

Klaudia//May 14, 2023
Every queen should have her diamonds, and Queen Bey is no different.

Tiffany & Co. has announced that the company is the official jeweler for Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. The American jeweler is providing custom creations and designs for her performances.

Specifically, the brand has provided the singer an earpiece containing 4.5 carats of white diamonds; she wore it at her first concert in Stockholm, Sweden, and she’ll wear the piece throughout her 57-show tour. In addition to custom designs, Beyoncé will also wear pieces from the company’s Tiffany HardWear collection and Elsa Peretti line.

How each of Beyoncé's Met Gala looks came to be

Klaudia//May 3, 2023
Ty Hunter is the celebrity stylist behind every standout outfit Beyoncé has worn at the Met Gala over the years.

But his history with Beyoncé goes way back. Born and raised in Texas, Hunter was working at a Houston boutique in the late '90s when he met Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles.

She promised to take him to bigger, better places outside of retail, and hired Hunter to work with Destiny's Child on the "Survivor" music video in 2000.

He quickly became the group's right-hand man, and later styled the musicians as they took on solo careers.

Today, Hunter is an author, motivational influencer, and entrepreneur, but he still dedicates time to fashion.

While taking a break from styling Billy Porter for his upcoming tour, Hunter caught up with Insider and discussed each of Beyonce's Met Gala outfits from over the years. Here's how each look came to be and what he thinks of them now.

Spotify's Dissect Debuts "Black Is King" Limited Series Special

Klaudia//February 2, 2021
A seven episode mini-series special to commemorate the prolific Beyoncé project that took the internet (and Bey-hive) by storm: Black is King premiered last week on Spotify.

Dissect is a serialized music podcast hosted by creator Cole Cuchna available exclusively on Spotify. The podcast series takes an academic approach to analyzing iconic albums that has had an undeniable influence on music and hip-hop culture.

In this surprise drop, Cole is joined by special guest co-host, Dr. Titi Shodiya (Dope Labs) to dive into an in-depth exploration of the lyrical metaphors, historical anecdotes and nods to African spirituality embedded all throughout the project. The series breaks down BIK’s commentary on White supremacy proliferated through Western religion; spoken word poems like Joshua Abah’s “Uncle Sam” featured in the project, and its uncanny parallels to featured rappers’ work like Kendrick Lamar’s “Wesley’s Theory”; and the story of how one Black female artist’s stolen and appropriated work led to the smash hit, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” while becoming the key reason behind Beyoncé creating Black Is King.

In the final bonus epiosde Cole and Titi talk to co-director Kwasi Fordjour, stylist Zerina Akers, and music director Derek Dixie about their work on the film.

Listen to the entire series below.

British Vogue's December 2020 Cover Story

Klaudia//November 1, 2020
Artist, businesswoman, perfectionist – the one woman powerhouse that is Beyoncé talks family, fashion and philanthropy (and bee hives) with Edward Enninful, in British Vogue’s December 2020 cover interview.

It was always going to be special. How could it not be? And yet I’m not sure I could have predicted how having Beyoncé – an icon of music, fashion and culture for more than 20 years – on British Vogue’s cover this month would finally come to pass.

As I logged on to my laptop one evening in early autumn to oversee the 12-hour shoot more than 3,000 miles away, in New York, I felt the thrill of the new. It was the culmination of months of preparation. “It takes enormous patience to rock with me,” Beyoncé Knowles-Carter wryly notes in our interview on the following pages, in a rare and rounded glimpse into her world. But let me tell you this: rocking with Beyoncé is electric.

Our creative discussions began during the early days of lockdown, and an idea quickly took shape. Social justice, a pandemic – it was clear that this was the moment for something extra. As we all know, it has been an extremely tough year for fashion, and so we wanted to create a no- holds-barred celebration. Who, after all, has the ability to elevate and excite like Queen B? And so we approached some of our favourite designers, who each made a custom piece for a 20-page extravaganza with a purpose: to uplift an industry.

'Black Is King' Hairstylists Made 40+ Wigs in Just 6 Days

Klaudia//August 6, 2020
Beyoncé really knows how to get a gal in her feelings. Let’s just say, I’ve have been in a perpetual state of “OMG” since watching the mega star’s latest feat of genius, Black is King. And according to the internet, my social media feed, and everyone with a Disney+ subscription—I’m not alone.

If you’re not hip to the hype yet, the 80-minute film is an odyssey through the African diaspora as told via the music and vision of arguably the most famous (and celebrated) African-American woman in the world…Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. True to form and history, Beyoncé did not come to play...she came to slayyyyy. And that she did.

Anyone would be moved by this unique take on the story of The Lion King--but as a Black woman, I’ve gotta say, it just hits different. Back culture is fully on display and as Queen Bey proudly professes in the opening scene: “Let Black be synonymous with glory.” So, at the risk of sounding overly dramatic *but* completely real, I’ve definitely been sitting taller and straightening my figurative crown over the past several days.

And speaking of crowns, let’s talk about the HAIR—all the mesmerizing hair! Trust, the fashion and beauty were prominent characters throughout the film. So, it comes as no surprise that Beyoncé tapped one of her beloved hairstylists, Neal Farinah, to lead the charge in executing the film’s iconic looks.

Farinah has spent over 15 years working with Beyoncé and created many of her most head-turning ‘dos. And again, if you’ve watched Black is King or seen any of the visuals (that are no doubt filling your IG feed) than you’ll know that the hairstyles created for this film are the most epic of his career.

Tyler Perry Studios Opening in Atlanta

Klaudia//October 6, 2019
Last night Beyonce attended the Tyler Perry Studios Opening in Atlanta. She wore Anabela Chan laboratory-grown diamond earrings. After the event, she posted the following message on Instagram:

"Happy Sunday. Congratulations to Tyler Perry on the opening of his studios. I could feel our ancestors’ presence. Surrounded by my heroes, I watched Denzel, Queen Oprah, Spike, Whoopi, Sir Poitier, Will, Halle , Dame Cicely and our angels John Singleton and Diahann Carroll honored. The Armand de Brignac crashed against each soundstage as fireworks lit up the sky. Generations of blood, sweat and tears, success, excellence and brilliance. It makes me so proud, so full, I could not stop crying. Thank you my Virgo brother for so much love and passion put into every detail. My prayer today is that you will take it all in. You inspire me to dream even bigger."

Klaudia//September 27, 2018
“There’s something about winning an Ebay auction that’s just so exciting,” says stylist Mariel Haenn, one half of the power duo, known as Rob and Mariel, that’s responsible for J.Lo’s glamorous, high-wattage looks. “Agreed,” says her business partner Rob Zangardi. “That cha-ching notification always gives me a thrill.” Even more so, perhaps, if you have just won the yellow Michael Costello jumpsuit worn by Lopez at the 2015 AMAs, or a pair of Justin Bieber’s quilted leather Balmain skate shoes, or one of Kendall Jenner’s Adidas sweatsuits from her collaboration with Daniëlle Cathari, which are just some of the items that eBay will auction on the site’s first-ever Fall Stylist Sale running from September 25th though October 2nd.
