Beyoncé and Jay-Z buy most expensive home ever in California

Klaudia//May 21, 2023
Beyoncé and Jay-Z just set a record with their $200 million mega mansion purchase in Malibu. It's the most expensive home ever sold in California and second most expensive real estate deal in the country, TMZ reports.

The 8-acre concrete compound overlooks the Pacific Ocean in the exclusive Paradise Cove area and was designed by famed Japanese architect, Tadao Ando. The 40,000 square foot home doubles as an art museum as the property was commissioned by modern art collectors Bill and Maria Bell more than a decade ago. It's no surprise, then, that the superstars took to the estate as their private art collection is said to be quite impressive.

The Malibu project took almost 15 years to build. According to Morley Construction Co., the project's contractor, design qualities include a water feature and a pool while utilizing 7,645 cubic yards of concrete.

If you can believe it, Jay-Z and Beyoncé got somewhat of a deal on the estate as the property was quietly listed for $295 million, per TMZ.

Let's take a look inside.

Beyoncé's Beauty Brand to Include Fragrances

Klaudia//May 19, 2023
Beauty has a new megawatt entrant — Beyoncé.

The winner of 32 Grammys took to Instagram Tuesday night to announce her latest venture, which appears to be a hair care brand.

Sources tell WWD that the brand is helmed by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and is also developing fragrances. The brand’s name and launch timing could not be learned. A spokesperson for Beyoncé did not return a request for comment by press time.

Though many celebrities have entered beauty in recent years, sources are bullish on Beyoncé’s business prospects. “I mean, she is the biggest, and her mom had a salon. It will be authentic. It’s going to be huge if she has science behind it,” one source said. “They’re laying the foundation, they’re building up the hype. It’s getting more press than God and who even knows when it’s coming out.”

Fans Spot Beyoncé Renaissance Tour Easter Egg

Klaudia//May 16, 2023
The Renaissance World Tour may have given fans a super subtle but potentially major clue about something happening during one of the shows. A cybertronic interlude that plays during one of Bey’s costume changes in the show, the so-called “Motherboard” video, flashes strobe-y images of Beyoncé as the queen of cyberspace.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the numbers repeating most often in the clip were the exact latitude and longitude of Paris, France. The clip also seemed to show a countdown to 6 a.m. — 6 a.m. Paris time would equate to midnight ET. The theory? That Beyoncé is planning to drop her Renaissance visuals at midnight on May 26, during her concert in Paris.

There are a lot more reasons to believe this theory than just the flashing numbers, mostly due to how deeply the album is connected to Paris. “Renaissance” itself is a French word, and a historical period that revolved around cultural milestones in Paris. The city is also name-checked in the 1990 documentary Paris Is Burning, which is considered seminal in capturing the underground ballroom culture that heavily inspired the sound of the Renaissance album.

A French journalist, Louis Pisano, also keeps teasing that something special will be happening during the show on his Twitter.

Let's wait and see what the surprise is!

Beyoncé teases new hair-care venture on Instagram

Klaudia//May 16, 2023
Singer, actress and fashion icon Beyoncé hints she’s adding a new title to her resume: hair-care brand founder.

The singer, who is in the middle of her Renaissance World Tour, announced on Instagram on Tuesday that she is foraying into the world of hair care. “How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in mama’s salon?” she wrote in her announcement.

While the specifics of the new venture are currently unclear, what we do know is that the business will be rooted in hair care.

Her caption continued, “Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

Tiffany & Co. Is the Official Jeweler for Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour

Klaudia//May 14, 2023
Every queen should have her diamonds, and Queen Bey is no different.

Tiffany & Co. has announced that the company is the official jeweler for Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. The American jeweler is providing custom creations and designs for her performances.

Specifically, the brand has provided the singer an earpiece containing 4.5 carats of white diamonds; she wore it at her first concert in Stockholm, Sweden, and she’ll wear the piece throughout her 57-show tour. In addition to custom designs, Beyoncé will also wear pieces from the company’s Tiffany HardWear collection and Elsa Peretti line.

Adidas CEO comments on Ivy Park partnership

Klaudia//May 6, 2023
At a quarterly results press conference, Adidas chief executive officer Bjorn Gulden addressed speculation that the brand’s relationship with musical superstar Beyoncé, who collaborates on the Ivy Park sportswear collection, had ended. There’s no final decision on this, he said, and in fact, there are two more Ivy Park releases to come this year, one in May, to coincide with the singer’s next concert tour, and another drop in September.

Beyond that, “there’s nothing else to communicate…until there’s a decision,” Gulden stated.

Several members of the family spent a couple of hours in the amusement park on Friday before it opened to the public.

Beyoncé Named One of the World's Most Influential People by TIME

Klaudia//April 18, 2023
Beyoncé is that girl. The music icon is named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2023. She is featured in the Titans section, joining notables including Angela Bassett, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Lauren Powell Jobs, and Lionel Messi.

House producer/DJ Honey Dijon, who collaborated with Beyoncé for one of four “Break My Soul” remixes, wrote her tribute.

“In 2003, Beyoncé performed her hit single ‘Crazy in Love’ for the BET Awards. Her performance embodied the legacy and culture of Black artists from Josephine Baker to Tina Turner, James Brown, and Prince. The way she commanded the stage and led her band was transcendent. That performance secured her place in the pantheon as one of the greatest Black female artists of our time,” Dijon wrote.

“After being approached to work on her 2022 album Renaissance, I realized very quickly that I was contributing to yet another historic moment—not only for dance music, but also as a celebration of the foundations of Black music. From R&B to house, gospel to techno, hip-hop to vogue, Beyoncé wove a tapestry of music on Renaissance that celebrated all facets of Black music, including the immense contributions of the Black gay and queer community. Then she became the most-decorated Grammy winner ever. Beyoncé’s fearlessness, talent, beauty, and artistry will continue to influence and inspire Black female artists for millennia.”

Beyonce renting Europe's largest indoor arena to rehearse world tour

Klaudia//April 17, 2023
Rehearsals for Beyonce’s upcoming world tour are well under way - and the star is pulling out all the stops to ensure her performance will be ‘groundbreaking’.

The Renaissance World Tour will be 41-year-old Bey’s first solo world tour since her 2016 Formation World Tour and is due to kick off next month in Stockholm.

She will take in dates across Europe, the UK, and North America - seeing her performing through to the end of September.

And while tickets have controversially cost thousands for fans to snap up, it seems no expense is being spared in preparation for the live dates.

According to The Sun, Bey is currently hard at work in France perfecting her dance moves and set manoeuvres.

The Halo singer has booked out the La Defense Arena in Paris to use as her practice ground - with the stadium twice the size of London’s O2 arena and capable of seating 40,000 fans.
