Beyoncé took to Instagram to promote her mother Tina Knowles' upcoming book "Matriarch". She wrote:
"Mama, I couldn’t be prouder.
My love for you goes beyond what I can say.
You put your heart into this book. I’m happy for you to share some of the stories that shaped you into who you are. To know you is to love you. But please don’t spill too much Mama Tea.
The singer, 43, shared photos of herself and her Cowboy Carter collaborator Willie Nelson to Instagram on Monday, Oct. 28, showing the pair posing together at Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign event in Houston on Oct. 25.
Nelson, 91, took the stage to perform at the event, before his fellow Texas native Beyoncé introduced the presidential hopeful, 60, in an impassioned speech.
She wrote:
"The Great Willie!
You are the coolest!
I admire you, and I sincerely thank you for being the pioneer you are. Thanks for your impactful music, your advocacy, and the gracious way you appreciate and celebrate other artists! You are 1 of 1.
You were so kind to me and the girls of Destiny’s Child when we fanned out meeting you years ago.
And you greeted me with the same kindness 20 years later!
Beyonce attended a campaign rally in support of US Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on 'Reproductive Freedom' at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas, United States on October 25, 2024.
Weeks after debuting her collaboration with Levi’s — the campaign for which alone generated $5 million in media impact value in 48 hours — and months after launching her whiskey brand SirDavis in partnership with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the multihyphenate is bringing her latest fragrance to market.
Called Cé Lumière, the scent is available for preorder on Beyoncé’s website in the U.S. and Canada. It retails for $160.
The eau de parfum includes top notes of Madagascar black pepper and Italian mandarin; heart notes of jasmine sambac absolute and rhubarb, and base notes of Indonesian patchouli and skin musk.
Beyoncé will appear alongside Vice President Kamala Harris for the first time on the campaign trail in Houston on Friday, a person familiar with the planning tells CNN.
Since the moment Harris ascended to the top of the Democratic ticket and received Beyonce’s permission to use “Freedom” as the campaign’s official anthem, the vice president’s team has been working behind the scenes to negotiate a joint appearance before Election Day.
Rumors of a Beyoncé appearance at the Democratic convention threatened to overtake Harris’ acceptance speech. Campaign officials insist it was never the plan to have Beyoncé join Harris in Chicago, even as they sent conflicting signals in the moment.
The Friday appearance in Houston, where Beyoncé will appear with Willie Nelson, is designed to be one of the biggest closing acts of the campaign. It remains an open question whether Taylor Swift will join Harris, given she is back in the United States for the final swing of her Eras Tour.
Suni Lee recently opened up about her unforgettable encounter with Beyonce at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
In a charming moment at the gathering, she met Beyonce, and the two enjoyed a cheerful conversation filled with smiles and hugs. In a candid conversation with Caroline Fenton, Lee reflected on the meeting, calling it a surreal experience.
"I wanted to say hi to her but I... everybody was like, crowning her so I felt bad," Lee said. "So I like stayed behind but she like turned around and saw me and she like ran up to me and I was like, wait is this real life? Like there's no way she actually knew who I was."
She added:
"But yeah, we had a real conversation. I mean, she was saying that her and her kids watches is at the Olympics. So it was really cool and I mean, it's Queen B. So I was kind of freaking out."
Speaking with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie this morning, Alexandra Burke revealed exactly what Beyonce told her ahead of their iconic duet on the 2008 X-Factor final, taking the opportunity to give her a very stern pep talk!
It’s 2008, you’re about to go on stage with Beyonce.
“Lord have mercy!”
What is running through your mind?
“What’s running through my mind is, ‘How am I going to keep up with this woman?’ Because we only had one rehearsal, and it was shocking. Because she was like, ‘Don’t sing anymore, because you might lose your voice.’ That’s what she told me. And then she said, ‘I didn’t come here sing with someone that will lose.’”
Agh!
“Yeah. She goes, ‘I didn’t fly all this way to do that, you’re going to win!’ I went, ‘That’s really confident of you.’ But I said, ‘I’ve won in my heart, because I sang with you. I don’t need to win the show,’ and then boom chakalaka – I won!”
GloRilla met one of her idols, Beyoncé this summer.
On Angel Reese ’s podcast, Unapologetically Angel, Big Glo shares the story behind that meeting and the photograph Bey later shared of them with Megan Thee Stallion .
“The night I met her, we was at All White Party. So we walking, me and Meg. We had just came from the upstairs part—we going to the downstairs club. So I’m just drunk, I’m walking. I just felt a tap on my shoulder, I looked, it was Beyoncé,” GloRilla said, recounting how she screamed at around the 18:50 minute mark.
“She had her own section and shit,” Glo continued. “She was like, ‘Y’all come over here. I’m like, ‘Come over here to your section? … I was nervous, I was just standing there like, ‘I don’t know what the fuck to say to Beyoncé.’ She was like, ‘You can sit down right there.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’”
She then told Angel she got emotional. “Girl, I can’t help it. Tears started coming down my face. I really love her that bad.”
On Aug. 30, Queen B posted an Instagram photo of her, GloRilla, and Meg from Rubin’s July 4 shindig. That same day, Glo reposted it to her IG.
“I luv yall,” Glo wrote, alongside a slew of heart emojis and wide-eyed emojis.

"16 Carriages" Producer About the Difference Between 'Renaissance' and 'Cowboy Carter'
In an interview with journalist Alana M. Yzola for her Acknowledge YouTube series, songwriter and producer Atia 'Ink' Boggs broke down the difference between working with Beyoncé on Renaissance and her country-styled follow-up, Cowboy Carter.
Boggs has a writing and producer credit on "16 Carriages," which starkly contrasts the songs she worked on for Renaissance. She revealed that the song was the first one she ever worked on with Beyoncé, despite releasing after the three songs she worked on for the dance-oriented album Renaissance. "So a lot of people don't know, we actually had this first," she explained at 24:00 point of the interview, seen below. "So imagine having this timeless, classic music first and having to wait, and then she came up with Act I."
Bey and Boggs started working together in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which influenced the direction of the music they worked on and what order it was released. "So we came out of being isolated, back into the world from no parties to finally expressing ourselves," she continued. Boggs said that Renaissance took listeners to "other planets," while Cowboy Carter is more about roots. "And it's like, baby, we don't do just one thing we do everything and we do it well," she said. "That's what she's letting you know. This is her southern roots, this is her Texas roots."
Boggs also explained that the pivot of Cowboy Carter reiterates that Beyoncé cannot be put in a box. "Representation matters, that sound matters. This sound is Black music, this is what we started," she said. "'16 Carriages,' that was one of my favorite songs I've ever made and produced in all of my life. Because it's so personal. I love to see her in that personal light."
When Beyoncé announced Renaissance in 2022, she billed it as the first entry in a three-act project. Cowboy Carter was originally announced as Act II, which is leading fans to believe that she's going to continue the trend of exploring Black music history by reclaiming another genre with Act III. Last month, fans theorized she's teasing her rock era thanks to a picture showing her with a mullet in a recent issue of CR Fashion Book.
When asked about the possibility of Act III being a rock album, Boggs smiled and replied, "See, y'all skipping... Shit, we got to get to Act II first."
