Beyoncé Officially Announces New Album Title as Act II: Cowboy Carter

Klaudia//March 13, 2024
Beyoncé announced the title of her forthcoming, country album. Having previously teased that she was going to release a country music project and the next phase of her acclaimed 2022 album Renaissance on March 29, she officially revealed that it’s called Act II: Cowboy Carter.

The pop superstar shared the title by simply adding the title and release date to her Instagram bio and posting a shot of a saddle with a red, white and blue sash that reads “Cowboy Carter” on her Instagram Story.

In the image, it’s as if the metallic, disco-esque saddle that Queen Bey rides on the cover of Renaissance is transforming into a western one — signaling her artistic transition.

The image is also displayed front and center on Beyoncé’s website. The Shop section of her site where fans can pre-order merchandise and the new record also reveals alternate artwork to feature close-up photos of the Grammy winner’s face as she wears a black cowboy hat, has a white snake over her eye and her hair done up in a blonde, feathered cut and braids.

Flannels launches new 'Renaissance' pop-up for release of Beyoncé's concert film

Klaudia//December 2, 2023
Flannels has once again partnered with Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment for a special pop-up with official apparel and exclusive installations to celebrate the release of the singer’s new ‘Renaissance’ film.

It follows a debut earlier this year which saw the retailer’s Oxford Street flagship, Flannels X, transform into a viral shopping and discovery experience in line with the five-night London residency of Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance World Tour’ in May 2023.

The retailer now returns with an amplified iteration of the shopping concept that drove around-the-block queues the first time around, with the highly-anticipated release of ‘Renaissance: A film by Beyoncé’ once again about to drive a concert-inspired fashion craze among fans.

The new ‘Renaissance’ pop-up lands in Flannels stores in London, Liverpool and Sheffield today, 1 December – when the film goes on general release – before arriving in Belfast on 14 December.

The concept is inspired by Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ fashion extravaganza, and is a nod to the “disco cowgirls and alien superstars” who united in their droves across 39 cities and 56 shows to take part in “the year’s biggest party”.

Now, in line with its own festive creative concept ‘We Are The Party’, the selected four Flannels flagship stores will become a one-stop destination for fans to immerse themselves once again in the Renaissance spirit.

Holt Renfrew x Beyoncé Launch Immersive Renaissance Installation

Klaudia//July 3, 2023
If you've been watching Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour videos on repeat like we have, you're in luck as Holt Renfrew is helping us get into full on D-I-V-A mode with the launch of the "Renaissance Flagship."

Celebrating the tour's two-night residency at Toronto's Rogers Centre, the Canadian retailer is transforming its store to welcome an overflowing collection of never-before-seen clothing and accessories, available for the first time in North America.

Housed in a fitting chrome formation, the 21-piece collection pays homage to the already-legendary tour's aesthetic, featuring a Summer Renaissance hoodie, boasting bold "B" detailing in honor of the Queen herself, as well as a rodeo-ready silver cowboy hat. For the bibliophiles, a robust 80-page self-published art book is teeming with exclusive imagery. The flagship also includes an exhibition of couture looks from Bey and Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the one-of-a-kind designs for the very first time, marking a historic moment as Beyoncé is the first Black woman to ever oversee a couture collection designed by a Parisian fashion house. Commemorating the exhibition, a four-piece collection arrives alongside it, including oversized T-shirts, artfully dropped-shoulder hoodies, as well as a spacious tote, complete with the collection's logo.

Available at Holt Renfrew's 50 Bloor Street West store from July 5 to July 11, 2023, the Renaissance collection is priced from $25 to $325 CAD, while the exhibition collection ranges from $200 -- $600 CAD.
