Beyonce On Top of Most Coveted Body List

Klaudia//January 23, 2011
In The Devil Wears Prada, fledgling magazine assistant Andy is informed that size two is the new size four, and size zero is the new size two. Well it seems size six (UK size 10) Andy, played by Anne Hathaway in the film, had the last laugh, as eight in 10 women now aspire to the curves of Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, according to research published today. It found that modern women no longer consider Victoria Beckham's fashion-thin build the 'perfect figure', and 80 per cent of women would now prefer a fuller shape, like that of model Kelly Brook or singer Beyoncé. Only 20 per cent of the 60,000 women, surveyed by Look magazine, admitted that they preferred a slimmer body shape. Over nine in ten said they felt women of all sizes could be stylish and a further six in ten wanted to see more pictures of 'real' women in fashion magazines. Ali Hall, editor of the magazine, said: 'Five months ago Look started using curvier models in the issue every week and the response was overwhelming. 'Now 94 per cent of our readers believe that women of all sizes can be fashionable and it's important that the magazine reflects this.' Beyoncé and model Kelly Brook came a joint first in the list of celebrity bodies readers would most like to look like. They were followed by singer Rihanna, reality television star Kim Kardashian and Christina Hendricks. Kate Moss, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, Kylie Minogue, Twilight actress Kristen Stewart and supermodel Gisele Bundchen emerged as the least popular.

Lady Gaga came in third, raking in $62 million thanks to her sold-out Monster Ball tour, her record sales, her deals with Polaroid, Virgin Mobile and Monster Cable, and all those product placements in her videos. Fourth on the list was Miley Cyrus, who brought in $48 million through her touring, movie roles and merchandise. Forbes has released their list of Hollywood's 20 Highest Earners of 2010, with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus among those rubbing elbows with the likes of power players like Oprah Winfrey. The venerable talk-show host topped the list with a whopping $315 million haul. Winfrey's earnings were generated for the most part by her multimedia deals, which include a syndication deal for her TV show, a magazine and her soon-to-be-launched network. "Avatar" creator James Cameron came in second, more than $100 million behind Winfrey, with a tally of $210 million. Director and playwright Tyler Perry ($125 million), blockbuster movie producer Michael Bay ($120 million) and golfer Tiger Woods ($105 million) rounded out the top five. Beyoncé was the only pop star to break the top 10. The "Single Ladies" superstar landed at #9, sandwiched between George Lucas and Dr. Phil. Mrs. Carter, whose hubby, Jay-Z, was named Hip-Hop's Cash King by Forbes in August with a tally of $63 million, pulled down $87 million over the past 12 months. The blond-haired trio of Britney Spears ($64 million), Lady Gaga ($62 million) and Madonna ($58 million) made their mark on the list at numbers 13, 14 and 15, respectively. Pop tarts Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift capped the list. The young stars placed at 18 and 19 on the list, with Disney star Cyrus pocketing $48 million, and country singer Swift depositing $45 million into her bank account.
