Beyoncé and Jay-Z Drop in on MoMA's Armory Party
Amid the neon lights installed at the Museum of Modern Art’s Garden Lobby during the Armory Party last night, the art set swayed along to a performance by Solange — artist Rashaad Newsome was spotted in the front row — before cutting loose for an all-out dance party at the R&B singer’s bidding. “Who’s got their dancing shoes on?” she asked, coaxing the art world pep rally along.
Guests who had, for some reason, looked up and turned around during the show might have spotted a voluminous expanse of blonde hair on the second floor. Seemingly sitting in the rafters were surprise (but not so surprising) guests Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Phone raised, massive curls bouncing from side to side, B looked to be taking in the scene via videophone.
