Beyonce Performs At United Nations

Klaudia//August 11, 2012
"Is this what happens at the U.N. every Friday night?" Anderson Cooper jokingly asked the crowd seated in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations on Friday (August 10). "Because, I've gotta tell you ... I wanna be here every Friday night if this goes on."

The news anchor was referring to members of the organization and their invited guests who were gathered for a special event leading up to World Humanitarian Day, quickly approaching on Saturday. Cooper, himself a humanitarian in many respects, was on hand to host a series of interviews with local and international humanitarians that would eventually lead into a performance from Beyoncé.

The 30-year-old star had appeared at the United Nations earlier in the day, where she rehearsed her performance of "I Was Here" and met with members of the United Nations. Now, at 8 p.m. ET on Friday night, Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson made his way to the stage welcoming everyone to the General Assembly Hall and giving an early introduction of Beyoncé.

"Tonight brings more than her stunning talents; she brings inspiration to help another person, to help another human being," he told the crowd, going on to describe "I Was Here" as a "profound and moving song." When he slipped on the title for a second, calling the song "I Was There," it became evident that there were some Bey stans in the audience. They quickly corrected him and joined him in laughing it off, while he added, "in fact 'here' and 'there' is the same thing — that's solidarity."

Jay-Z and Beyoncé's Date Night at Nas' Party in NYC

Klaudia//July 18, 2012
Jay-Z and Beyoncé are all about baby Blue Ivy Carter these days, but that doesn't mean hip-hop's royal couple doesn't still spend the occasional night on the town! On Monday, Hov and Bey hit up the MoĂ«t Rosé Lounge in New York City to celebrate Nas' new album Life Is Good. Beyoncé, 30, sipped on MoĂ«t, and danced "by herself" in the corner! Her hubby Jay-Z, 42, took a shot of tequila with his foe-turned-friend Nas. These two used to have a major feud, but from the looks of things last night, it's all water under the bridge. Also in attendance at Monday night's fête? Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri, Eric Benet, Tyson Beckford and Adrienne Bailon.

Beyoncé’s $1,200 Shoes Left the Designer Starstruck

Klaudia//May 15, 2012
Nicholas Kirkwood‘s shoes have appeared on the feet of some of the hottest names in entertainment, but he still got a little starstruck when he saw that Beyoncé wore his glitter satin sandals ($1,265 at mytheresa.com) to a dinner hosted by Michelle Obama. “I think Beyoncé looked great!” the designer told us at the opening of his Manhattan store. “How could you not be excited to see Beyoncé in your shoes?” While Beyoncé is a pro at walking in high heels, Kirkwood knows that every woman has their own heel height preference. “Heels can be quite wibbly wobbly,” he said. “Some of my clients can literally wear them all day. Some girls are so used to wearing heels it’s almost more painful to wear flats.”

Beyonce Honors Daughter Blue Ivy With Blue Nail Polish!

Klaudia//February 8, 2012
This manicure is dedicated to...Blue Ivy! Donning a bright blue dress for her first public appearance since she gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy a month ago may have been overkill, so instead, new mom Beyonce Knowles rocked a bright cobalt nail polish on her fingers in honor of her and Jay-Z's first-born daughter. In NYC Monday, the 30-year-old new mom sported Nails Inc. in Baker Street (out in March at Sephora) with her red-hot Alice by Temperley form-fitting dress at her hubby's Carnegie Hall concert after party at his newly reopened 40/40 Club. "Check out Beyonce's blue nails called Baker Street by Nails Inc. I love this color!" Lisa Logan, Beyonce's manicurist, tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. Since the hue isn't out yet you can try copying Bey's mani with L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in "Jet Set to Paris." ($5.99, lorealparis.com) The azure lacquer wasn't the only way the songstress was feeling blue -- she also donned a giant, sapphire sparkler on her pointer finger. It was a late night for Beyonce and her man, both of which stayed out until 4:30 a.m. "They were sitting on the top tier of same seating the entire night, just laughing, eating food -- the chef at the club is Jay-Z's personal chef as well and he sent out salads to them at 2:30 a.m.," a source tells Us Weekly. "Beyonce did have a martini at another point in the night, but she barely sipped it." "Towards the end of the night she was sitting with two of her friends and took out her phone," the source adds. "She was showing them pictures -- she was gushing and smiling and her friends were doing the same. She was very happy to be there, she had a lot of security."

Beyonce Attends The After Party Following Jay-Z's Concert

Klaudia//February 8, 2012
Beyonce Knowles picked a very special occasion for her first post-baby outing. Four weeks after giving birth, the 16-time Grammy winner supported her husband Jay-Z at his Carnegie Hall concert in Manhattan, which benefited The United Way of New York City and his Shawn Carter Foundation. The new mom showed off her svelte body in a body-hugging Alice by Temperley dress with Ofira & Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, an Alexander McQueen clutch, and Christian Louboutin platform heels. Post-show, A-list guests hit up Jay-Z's 40/40 club for the official after-party. Knowles was clearly enjoying her night off, arriving half an hour after her hip-hop husband, 42, walked the red carpet. "She made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room," an onlooker tells Us. Neither Knowles nor Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) spoke to reporters. Knowles opted not to imbibe at the after-party, instead sucking on lemon wedges throughout most of the evening. Other attendees included Brooklyn Decker, Melanie Fiona and Angie Martinez.
