Beyonce takes philanthropic initiative #BeyGOOD global

Klaudia//March 6, 2014
That there is a world filled with less fortunate people living outside her proverbial palace walls is not lost on Beyoncé. While she and rap mogul hubby Jay Z give their daughter, Blue Ivy, gifts whose cost could feed a small country, she understands the importance of giving back.

The pop star has set up a philanthropic initiative, #BeyGOOD, to help the homeless, sick children and the unemployed. While she's on her Mrs. Carter world tour, she will stop at six cities — Dublin; Cologne, Germany; Amsterdam; Antwerp, Belgium; Barcelona and Lisbon — where #BeyGOOD teams up with local charities. She hopes her celebrity will help raise funds for the charities, as well as awareness by her fans.

Last month, #BeyGOOD teamed up with the U.K.'s Prince's Trust for 12 concert dates, which included stops in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.

For her March dates, fans who go to at least one of these six concerts will find donation tables for each charity in the main lobbies of the venues. Concert ticketholders who make a donation will not only get a #BeyGOOD sticker, but a chance to get a seat upgrade to the BeyHive or BeyStage.

Beyonce to partner with The Prince's Trust

Klaudia//February 14, 2014
Beyonce's global campaign #BeyGood is set to help UK youth charity, The Prince's Trust, change the lives of disadvantaged young people.

The superstar and Prince's Trust ambassador's #BeyGood campaign, which encourages people to be kind, be charitable and #BeyGood to each other and their communities, will raise vital funds for The Prince's Trust on the UK tour dates of the Mrs Carter Show World Tour.

Beyonce said: 'As a young child I was blessed to have the support of my family who encouraged me to reach for my goals. So many young people don't have this. I am honored to partner the #BeyGood campaign with The Prince's Trust to help young people beat the odds and create better lives for themselves.'

Fans wanting to be part of the #BeyGood movement are encouraged to make a £3 text or online donation to the youth charity to help disadvantaged young people across the UK into jobs at a time when one in five (20 per cent) are struggling to find work.

Concert ticket holders who make a donation or wear a #BeyGood t-shirt will be given an official #BeyGood sticker at The Prince's Trust donation site situated in the venue. They will then be given the chance to be randomly selected for a seat upgrade to an exclusive VIP area near the front of the stage.

A limited number of #BeyGood t-shirts will be available to buy at The Prince's Trust Tomorrow's Store in Liverpool Street. Fans can also bring used items of clothing to a donation site at each venue in return for a #BeyGood sticker, and these will be distributed to those in need.

To join Beyonce in support of The Prince's Trust, go to: www.princes-trust.org.uk/beygood where donations can be made online or text donate £3 by texting BEYGOOD to 70660.

3-Year-Old Heaven King Meets Beyonce

Klaudia//February 13, 2014
Since becoming an overnight YouTube sensation and melting our hearts on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Heaven King is back!

The world was introduced to 2-year-old Heaven last year as she performed Beyonce’s hit ‘End Of Time’ on YouTube. Since then, King’s dream of being a dancer is happening right before her young eyes. She even got a hug from Queen Bey herself after Ellen gifted her tickets to see Beyonce perform in New York.

Heaven and her mom Tianne King returned to The Ellen Degeneres show this week to share their experience of meeting Beyonce and put on an impressive performance to Grown Woman. Heaven even brought Ellen a Valentines Day gift. Check out the video below.

Ty Hunter Talks The Mrs. Carter Show 2014

Klaudia//February 12, 2014
To say that Ty Hunter is rad would be the understatement of the year. The Houston-bred stylist -- who lives in Harlem -- started working with Destiny's Child when, uh, there was still such a thing as Destiny's Child. And he's now responsible not only for the creative direction of Beyonce's video and performance ensembles (sparkly Saint Laurent tights, included), but her personal ones too (remember that white Michael Costello number she wore to the Grammys? You can thank Ty for that).

We caught up with Hunter in the front row of Naeem Khan's stunning, shine-heavy fall '14 show Tuesday (where he hung out with fellow music styling master June Ambrose as Padma Lakshmi, Teen Wolf star Holland Roden and Disney darling Debby Ryan kicked it nearby) to find out how the man responsible for dressing the woman whose outfit selfies reach 10,000,000 Instagram followers does fashion week.

Pret-a-Reporter: Will you be in L.A. for any Oscars festivities?

Ty Hunter: No, we're heading back on tour on 16th in the UK and we'll be gone for a month.

PaR: Does this mean that the world will have a whole new set of Beyonce costumes/outfits/everything to stalk, er, pay attention to every day?

TH: The new album is going to be affiliated with . And most of the designers we've already used on the tour are revamping their looks. So they'll be some new costumes for sure. It will be exciting!
