Jay-Z And Beyonce Dance To Her Unreleased Music

Klaudia//July 10, 2013
Jay-Z has been all about "new rules," but even Hov finds comfort in going back to tried-and-true methods. On Tuesday (July 9), Jigga dropped his Magna Carta ... Holy Grail at retail, hoisted an RIAA-certified platinum plaque (Beyonce congratulated him on her official website) and visited his old friend Angie Martinez, touching on a wide range of topics at the New York radio personality's Hot 97 .

Hov talked about his new album of, course, but he also addressed Monday's Twitter spree, daughter Blue Ivy and wifey Beyoncé (and her wealth of unreleased material).

"Right now, Bey has 100,000 amazing songs, just playing 'em," Jay revealed of the singer's much-anticipated album. To which an astonished Martinez asked, "And what do you guys do, just listen to it in the speaker for yourself?" Jay laughed saying, "Yeah, dance to it in our socks!"

While Jay does touch on his fears of fatherhood on MCHG's "Jay Z Blue," he told Martinez that he'd like to have more kids. "Absolutely, God willing," he said, cracking a joke about the number of children he'd like to have and his new role as a sports agent : "Get this little basketball team going. ... It's all part of the elaborate plan."

The rapper and business mogul was charming throughout the interview. He shot down the notion that he and Bey would ever do a Best of Both Worlds-style duet album and praised his pal Kanye West for his work on Yeezus. "I love it," he said of West's experimental LP. "It's polarizing because it's art. That's what art is; it forces you to have an opinion."

Beyonce Covers Flaunt Magazine

Klaudia//July 10, 2013

Icon status is an elusive, wild beast.

See, no matter how many times you don a black bodysuit and the bedazzled gloves you lovingly hand-stitched to reenact the by now ubiquitous wedding dance floor song "Single Ladies"—pause for a minute to appreciate how many 11-year-old girls have done that in the last four years—you'll never be as good as Beyoncé.

And that's what's to love about the great Queen Bey. She's a machine. She's untouchable. And she makes us feel fierce, by proximity.

Beyoncé's Midas touch is something she's well aware of, and she's advanced it strategically, indulging and delighting her vehemently devoted fans while embracing what spectacle—a staple of her performances—affords her: "the license to live vicariously, to visualize, to fantasize. To be bigger than yourself, bigger than life."

Over the course of her career, she's sculpted, coiffed, and polished her image to build a persona so globally recognizable, so singularly powerful, that it's departed from being anything remotely attainable to become something revered and ethereal. And perfect—which is what she says she strives for.

Even on Instagram, so named for its spontaneity, Beyoncé presents a clean, curated image that evenly projects each facet of her persona: In one photo, she bares her enviable midriff, further solidifying the organic sex appeal that gave life to the Oxford-approved term bootylicious; in another, she posts handwritten thank-you notes to her fans for their support in her philanthropic efforts. And lest you start to feel too distanced from her, there are reminders that she can be ghetto fab like the rest of us: a late night snack of Aiki noodles with Tabasco sauce, photographed on what looks like a fold-out card table. (And its intended effect is achieved: If you actually doubt that @Beyoncé could/would eat a cup of noodles, you ain't as real of a fan as you think. #teamhood #teamdirtysouth #teamquickmeals wrote one fan.)

Beyonce : I am just a girl – interview

Klaudia//May 9, 2013
A vocalist, songwriter, fashion designer, model, actress and a tabloid icon, Beyonce is one of the busiest and most financially successful artists in the world, found near the top of every list accounting for power and influence among celebrities and artists, hence having an audience with her is a challenging endeavour, so I was delighted to have a 20 minute interview.

The rendezvous was set for 4.30pm at the Corinthia Hotel, in London, one of Beyonce’s stops on her Mrs. Carter show world tour. On my way to the conference room from the hotel’s lobby, I encounter security guards at every door. At one room, I see a crew busily unpacking photography equipment from a mountain of boxes and hauling it into the conference room, where they have literally built a photo studio, as if we were going to do a fashion shoot. You see, Beyonce doesn’t allow anyone to take her photo other than her own photographers.

Entering the room, I am greeted by her representatives with a ticket for her concert tonight, an elegant handbag that contained Beyonce’s brand perfume and served a Pepsi drink -Beyonce has $50 million dollar promotion deal with Pepsi. I am also reminded that once I entered the room, I woudn’t be able to leave it. I acquiesce contently- a decision that I soon regret.

I endure waiting over 90 frustrating minutes for Beyonce. The chilled Pepsi fails to quench my discomfiture, so her people, who keep promising that she is on her way, try vainly to numb my displeasure with more potent drinks, including high quality wine. Finally, someone says that she has just got out of her chair, and is heading to the lift, which sound promising.

Beyonce on Good Morning America

Now on her Mrs. Carter Show world tour, Beyonce is on top of the music world, and the singer/actress is also taking on the role of Queen Tara in the upcoming animated film, "EPIC."

In an interview with ABC News' Amy Robach on the London leg of her tour, Beyonce talked about her latest role, married life and how shocked she was at the outcry over her recent trip to Cuba.

Beyonce, Jay-Z Cuba visit had U.S. Treasury Department OK

Klaudia//April 9, 2013
A visit by American pop star Beyonce and rapper husband Jay-Z to Havana last week was a cultural trip that was fully licensed by the U.S. Treasury Department, a source familiar with the itinerary said on Monday.

The longstanding U.S. trade embargo against Cuba prevents most Americans from traveling to the communist-led island without a license granted by the U.S. government.

Three Cuban-American members of Congress, all Republicans from Miami and supporters of a firm stance on Cuba, have asked the Treasury Department to look into the licensing of the trip, prompting officials to seek more information from the organizers.

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Havana and were greeted by big crowds as they strolled through the Cuban capital. The music industry power couple were instantly recognized as celebrities despite the past half-century of ideological conflict that separates the two countries.

The source told Reuters that the trip included visits with Cuban artists and musicians, as well as several nightclubs where live music was performed, and some of the city's best privately run restaurants, known as "paladares."

The visit was planned as a "people-to-people" cultural visit and involved no meetings with Cuban officials, or typical tourist activity such as trips to the beach, the source said. Even a walk around the Old City of Havana, mobbed by crowds of excited Cuban spectators, was led by Miguel Coyula, one of the city's leading architects.

Publicists for the couple did not return emails or phone calls seeking comment.

Beyoncé "Absolutely" Wants More Kids

Klaudia//March 19, 2013
It sounds like Beyoncé's baby daughter Blue Ivy may be getting a brother or sister sooner rather than later!

In a new interview with Shape magazine, the 31-year-old singer says she definitely plans on having more kids with hubby Jay-Z.

"Absolutely," the Grammy-winner dished about expanding her family. "I'll probably start after this tour. We'll see if it happens."

Beyoncé, whose 42-city Mrs. Carter Show world tour kicks off next month in Serbia, also dished on loving everything about 1-year-old Blue Ivy. And we mean everything!

"I just adore being a mother, hearing her say Mama and call me when she needs something," she said. "It makes me feel like I have a real purpose here. I enjoy all the things people warned me would be tough to handle."

Like changing dirty diapers?

"Yes, even that!" the "Single Ladies" songstress said.

"I'm most surprised by how much she's taught me," B said. "She's only a year old and I've learned so much about myself from her. Giving birth was one of my biggest fears, and having Blue forced me to face it. And now I recognize the strength I have. She teaches me to focus on the things that truly matter, like family, and to pay attention to each moment, because they go by so quickly."
