Pregnant Beyonce Takes 14 Bathroom Breaks at Jay-Z Concert

Klaudia//November 23, 2011
Nothing comes between Beyonce and her man Jay-Z -- or his music! Expecting their first child together this February, the spouses of three years have remained inseparable during Jay-Z's "Watch the Throne" tour with Kanye West. Despite her increasingly huge baby bump, the "Love on Top" singer, 30, has dutifully attended nearly all of her man's concerts. At the Nov. 14 show in Fort Lauderdale, the Grammy winner even skipped the VIP box -- instead joining the exuberant crow in the front row and dancing nonstop to his songs. According to one witness, "she took about 14 bathroom breaks…she barely stopped dancing!" The first-time mom-to-be popped up the very next night at the Jay-Z and West's Miami show --- where one amateur videographer caught her boogying and rapping to the duo's song "Gotta Have It." Beyonce is done performing her own material for fans until after the baby's birth, however. In mid-August, before she confirmed the pregnancy news to the world, she performed four sold-out shows at NYC's small Roseland Ballroom.

Kelly Rowland: I won't miss BeyBey's birth

Klaudia//November 23, 2011
Kelly Rowland has vowed not to miss the birth of her Destiny's Child pal Beyonce's baby. The X Factor judge, 30, revealed that she wasn't present for another friend's child being born and has regretted it ever since. She said: "I wouldn't miss the birth of Beyoncé's baby. I can't. I don't want to miss those moments." And she added: "It's life happening to people that I love and I want to be a part of it." Beyonce, 30, is expecting her first child with husband Jay Z, 41, early next year. Kelly, who admits that she can't wait to get hitched, revealed that she had to do a lot "soul-searching" after she was dumped by her fiancé Roy Williams in the same week she appeared on the cover of a glossy magazine in a wedding dress six years ago. She said: "I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married. I wanted to have kids. "At that time I was crazily talking about wanting five. You can just make wrong decisions in life. That was all a part of growing up. I just think it's important to trust your gut."

Beyonce's Brief to Agencies: Fix My Website

Klaudia//November 23, 2011
One of the biggest stars in the world -- Beyonce -- has turned to Madison Avenue to offer up some branding help, Ad Age has learned. Awareness is no problem for Ms. Knowles, of course, but apparently, her web presence is. Industry executives say that the starlet's team recently contacted advertising agencies, asking them to pitch ideas to revamp BeyonceOnline.com. "Beyonce herself hates the website because she doesn't think that it looks like who she is as an artist, someone who likes fashion and art and photography and travel," said one executive familiar with Ms. Knowles' plans. "She has all sorts of interests and wants to communicate that," said the person, adding that the star wants the new site to be "daring and forward-thinking." The site is now formatted like a blog, largely centered around the posting of Beyonce-related news once or twice a day, such as a link to an article or a music video. Ms. Knowles is known best as a singer, but she's also starred in several films and has several lucrative product-endorsement deals, including one with L'Oreal. She's a marketer in her own right, too, with her House of Dereon clothing line and her fragrances, Beyonce Pulse and Beyonce Heat. As busy as she may be (among other things, prepping for the arrival of her first child with hip-hop mogul husband Jay-Z), Ms. Knowles is understood to be making time to be personally involved in the online project, even willing to meet agencies in person. Added the executive: "She was the client and ultimate decision maker, which could be a cool opportunity for an agency -- but given how thin the brief was, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing." For those out there who complain that marketers operate on tight deadlines, the world of entertainment is a lot tougher. Beyonce's team was said to have asked for a turnaround of about 48 hours. One reason she may be looking for a fresh look for her website is she's out from under her previous manager, under whom the current website was created. Ms. Knowles was formerly managed by her father, Mathew Knowles, but the two split professionally earlier this year. She is now under the management of Parkwood Entertainment. Representatives for Beyonce did not return a request for comment by press time.

Solange: Beyonce Is "Learning" Mommy Tricks from Me

Klaudia//November 23, 2011
Beyonce's baby is sure to be spoiled! Not only by her mom and dad, Jay-Z, but by aunt Solange Knowles! "My sister is a phenomenal aunt, so I'm ready to be the same in her life," Solange, 25, told Us Weekly Wednesday at Live From the Bon Appetit Kitchen: It's ?uestlove launch party. "I don't need any advice ," Solange gushed. "Because she has been a phenomenal aunt to my , so she's set the tone as an aunt. I've set the tone as a mom, so we're learning from each other." As for who will be the better aunt? "Well, I'm sure my son would say she's the better aunt because I'm a mom first," she said. "I do realize that popcorn at 9:00 at night probably would make me the better aunt in his eyes." Beyonce loves to spoil Julez, and Solange is "excited to have a little payback" treating her future niece to the finer things, too.

'Pulse' Wins 2011 Holography Award

Klaudia//November 21, 2011
The eye catching packaging for the Beyoncé 'Pulse' perfume collection has won the International Hologram Manufacturers Association's (IHMA) award for the exceptional use of a hologram or holographic material for decorative and promotional purposes. Hazen Paper Company, Curtis Packaging and Coty Inc, USA, picked up the 'Best Applied Decorative Product' award for a holographic-based solution which seamlessly wraps all the panels of the box to create a 3D burst effect focused on the product name. The hologram is partly over-printed in a radiant purple so that shafts of silver holographic light radiate from Beyoncé Pulse. The packaging comes in eight different sizes and in a windowed boxed set which features the un-printed hologram on the back internal wall of the pack to highlight the products in front of it. The award was presented at HolopackHolo-printŸ, The Holography Conference, in Las Vegas, Nevada in November.

Beyonce worried baby secret would be revealed

Klaudia//November 21, 2011
It's tough to keep a pregnancy a secret when you're in the public eye, and for a while, Beyonce thought the jig was up. "The whole time I definitely was thinking, 'Everyone knows, everyone can see,'" said the singer before the screening of her new concert DVD Sunday in New York. It became particularly difficult for her to hide the growing baby bump when the Grammy-winner performed for four nights to sold-out crowds at New York's Roseland Theater in August. "When you're pregnant, it's a little bit harder to breathe, so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time," said the 30-year-old singer in an onstage interview. Fans who didn't get a chance to catch "The Intimate Nights" shows — what Beyonce said was her last concert performance of the year — can get a behind-the-scenes look in her new "Live at Roseland" DVD, available exclusively at Walmart this week. The deluxe two-DVD set is available everywhere on Nov. 29. Along with classics from her Destiny's Child days and major hits from her solo career, the DVD includes interviews with the singer, home footage of rehearsals and special family moments — even shots of Beyonce in a wedding gown. She's also hoping the film will serve as a time capsule for her unborn child, a chance for him or her to say, "I can't believe I was in that belly," she said.

Beyonce’s wedding dress was designed by mom, Tina Knowles

Klaudia//November 19, 2011
When it comes to their wedding gowns, celebrities want to make it big, so they usually hire the most prestigious designers in Hollywood. Beyonce, on the other hand, confessed that her wedding dress was designed by her mom, Tina Knowles, says Us Weekly. Beyonce's stylist, Ty Hunter, told reporters at Us that the successful singer and soon to be mom wore a wedding dress in April 4, 2008 that was designed by her mother, Tina Knowles. The 30 year-old singer always relies on her mother when it comes to fashion and beauty and she has never failed to impress anyone with her dazzling outfits and hairstyles. Beyonce was gorgeous on her wedding day, too, because she wore a strapless white dress designed by her mother. The gown which was decorated with ruched details, a fitted bodice and a sprawling train was shown to the public during the latest video that the singer produced "I Was Here”. The fact that Beyonce has assigned her mother the difficult task of designing the bridal dress shows how strong their relationship is. In addition, Jay-Z’s wife is sure that her mother is a good designer because the latter has produced all her costumes ever since she was a child. When she performed in Destiny’s Child, Tina, 57, would design all the girls’ costumes. Even though the color and the model were basically the same, every costume was uniquely created to reflect the personality of each girl. Since she is so skillful at designing clothes, Tina and Beyonce have set up their own brand House of Dereon, named after her mother. Their first collection was displayed during the London Fashion Week this September. There are many other brides who opt to wear custom-made designs from a parent during the most important day of their lives. Like Beyonce, Dylan Lauren from Dylan’s Candy Bar wore a dress that was designed by her father, Ralph Lauren, at the wedding ceremony which was held in June this year. This way, celebrities add a special touch to their wedding nuptials and they get to wear unique gowns.
