Beyoncé Wraps Up Her Beach Fun and Returns to NYC

Klaudia//November 19, 2011
Beyoncé Knowles attended a meeting in NYC with her mom Tina yesterday. The Knowles clan is back in the Big Apple after a fun weekend in Miami, where Beyoncé attended a bash at her pal Alex Rodriguez's house. She and husband Jay-Z, who was in the Sunshine State to perform on his Watch the Throne tour with Kanye West, then hired a yacht for a day on the water with Tina, Solange Knowles, and Solange's son Julez. Pregnant Beyoncé wore a bikini for the outing, and covered up the two-piece with a kaftan. Jay-Z then went west to LA, where he attended the GQ Men of the Year party last night. On the carpet, Jay-Z talked about welcoming a child with Beyoncé and how he's different from his own dad. "I'm just a different kind of guy . . . I'm a highly principled person. I come from a real place where you had to be a highly principled person, so, I'm pretty confident that I'll figure it out." He went on to joke that their baby won't wear gold diapers, but rather ones made of leather!

Beyonce/Mary J. Blige Duet Was Meant For 4

Klaudia//November 19, 2011
Not sure how to keep your woman happy? Just ask Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé. The two divas lay out a tutorial on how to court the fairer sex with "Love a Woman," from MJB's upcoming My Life II ... The Journey Continues, Act I. But fans may be surprised to learn that the long-overdue collaboration was nearly a one-woman affair. B initially recorded the song for her4 LP, but thought it would be a better fit as a duet with Mary. "It was a song she recorded for her album that didn't fit her album and she sent it through her A&R people to give to me," Mary revealed to MTV News. "When the song came, her voice was on it completely and it was just amazing and I wasn't sure that they wanted to give me this record because it was so amazing." The soothing track starts off with Mary sweetly singing, "So you think you know how to love a woman/ But I think it's still some things you need to know." As the flowery instrumental builds with a serene piano melody and accentuating horns, MJB goes on to warn that a woman needs more than material things. B turns up the heat demanding that she needs "more than sex," she needs to be made love to. From there, the song plays as a lyrical how-to. Communication is a must, as is respect, but coming home late and being a one-minute man is a no-no. While both the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and an expecting Queen B display good chemistry on the song, a video for the track may be hard to pull off. "I'm sure 'Love a Woman' would be a single but I can't really trouble Beyoncé right now; she's pregnant and I'm sure she's doing her stuff," Mary said. "So whenever she's ready, if she's ever ready, I'm ready and it'll be great."

Sean Garrett Calls Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé Duet ‘Iconic’

Klaudia//November 17, 2011
Two of the biggest voices in music, Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé, join forces on their new duet “Love a Woman.” The producer-songwriter behind the superstar collaboration, Sean Garrett, spoke with Rap-Up.com about how the “iconic” track came together. Garrett, who has penned hits for both women in the past, revealed that the song was originally written for Beyoncé. “I initially did the record for Beyoncé and then we just felt it would be an even bigger record with Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige,” he explained. “Both these women are two iconic female figures in the world, and what would be better than putting those two on a record? We felt it would be a really iconic move.” “Woman,” which appears on Blige’s 10th album My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), will take listeners back. “We did a throwback ’90s type of feel with the track,” said Garrett. “We wanted to give people who grew up with Mary and Beyoncé that real feel that they could reminisce on.” The R&B divas showcase their powerful pipes on the R&B-drenched record. “The vocals on it are impeccable,” added the hitmaker. “Both Mary and Beyoncé did an incredible job vocally. It just epitomizes the soulfulness, the integrity of real women, and it couldn’t come at a more climactic time.” While it’s unknown if an accompanying video will be shot, Garrett has high hopes. “I wouldn’t bet against it.”

Beyonce Knowles Blessed With Gwyneth Support

Klaudia//November 13, 2011
Beyonce Knowles feels "blessed" to have the support of Gwyneth Paltrow. The singer- who is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z - is always happy to have the actress, her spouse Chris Martin and their kids Apple, seven, and five-year-old Moses, stay with them, and is grateful for all the advice she has been given by her friends and other family members. She said: "Gwyneth's kids are great, they're a real credit to her and Chris. "Jay and I love it when we have them to stay, they're just so adorable. "Along with them and my nephew, we've had lots of practice, but I guess nothing prepares you for your own children. "We're so blessed to have a great network of friends and family around us to help and offer advice."

Solange Knowles Admires Beyoncé's Style

Klaudia//November 13, 2011
Wearing the same size as your sister doesn't mean doubling your wardrobe for Solange Knowles. The singer tells Vogue (via Us Weekly) that she "never borrowed clothes from Beyoncé when we were growing up." She adds, "my style is a little more tame, and hers is a little more adventurous." Still, Solange is supportive of her sister's signature style. "I love seeing her with an hourglass silhouette," she tells the fashion bible, admitting that she even checks blogs to keep up with Bey's vacation outfits. She points out a polka-dotted Marc Jacobs outfit a pregnant Bey wore on a recent trip to Paris, saying it was "like something Jackie O might have worn, but when Beyoncé wears it, it's transformed." Clearly, there's no cause for sibling rivalry when beauty and style run in the family!
